Drew's Meatloaf

on May 15, 2025 in main-dishes

This is the meatloaf recipe I have been making for two decades. I don't glaze it becaue I like it crispy. Serve it with ketchup or your sauce of choice, along with mashed potatoes and buttery peas.

Ingredients

  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 pounds 85/15 ground beef
  • 1 pound pork breakfast sausage

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Thoroughly combine eggs, bread crumbs, all seasonings, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce in large mixing bowl
  3. Add meat to mixture and combine thoroughly
  4. Shape mixture into a rectangular loaf and place on broiling pan
  5. Bake at 350°F for approximately 1 hour (until center reads 160°F)
