This is the meatloaf recipe I have been making for two decades. I don't glaze it becaue I like it crispy. Serve it with ketchup or your sauce of choice, along with mashed potatoes and buttery peas.
Ingredients
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp dried parsley
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp coarse salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 pounds 85/15 ground beef
- 1 pound pork breakfast sausage
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Thoroughly combine eggs, bread crumbs, all seasonings, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce in large mixing bowl
- Add meat to mixture and combine thoroughly
- Shape mixture into a rectangular loaf and place on broiling pan
- Bake at 350°F for approximately 1 hour (until center reads 160°F)
