A creamy and flavorful pesto pasta with fresh garlic and melted mozzarella.
Ingredients
- 1 lb penne
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 7 oz fresh pesto
- 8 oz heavy cream
- 16 oz mozzarella
- 1 cup grated Parmesan
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Cook penne according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat
- Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute
- Add fresh pesto and heavy cream to the skillet and stir to combine
- Add mozzarella and grated Parmesan and stir until melted and smooth
- Add cooked penne to the sauce and toss to coat
- Season with salt and pepper to taste
- Serve immediately
